What We Repair.
Awning Recovers.Com.Au specialises in the repair of old awnings..... primarily replacing and recovering old awning fabrics with new custom made fabric recovers to exactly fit your existing awning frame. If your awning is beyond repair we can also supply you with a completely new awning system. All our new awnings and recovers are custom made and manufactured right here in Melbourne. The following is an overview of what type of awning repairs we do and which ones we don't.
Awning Fabric Replacement.
The primary awning repairs we specialise in is Awning Fabric Replacement. We come out to your premises and assess your awning to see if it is feasible to actually recover your awning. There are some occasions that it is simply more cost effective to replace the awning with a completely new system. If we believe that the awning is recoverable we measure up the exact size of awning cloth. You simply need to choose a new fabric design and colour and then we will do the rest. Currently our lead times on a new awning recover is 4weeks. When your new awning recover is ready we will send out or team of expert installers to remove the old awning cloth and install the new fabric replacement.
What we dont do - even though we perform a large range of awning repairs here in Melbourne, there are some awning repairs we often get asked to do but unfortunately we dont do.
Some of these are;
-We do not patch up or re-sew old awning fabric. Unfortunately as awning fabric ages, it starts to become brittle. If your awning fabric has started to tear, its a good sign that the fabric is on the way out and will tear again if we try to re-sew it.
-Supply a Valance Only. We only offer manufacture of full awning cloths and not part off. In a many cases the awning valance is sewn and splined to the main body of cloth.
As awnings age, the awning fabric is not the only part of the awning that can deteriorate. Sometime the hardware can fail and needs to be replaced. Some of the parts that we can supply and repair are;
-Auto(lock) Awning Repairs - replacement guide rods, locking arms, and bottom bars, pull rings, tubular awning motors.
-Fixed Guide Awnings Repairs - replacement guide rods, L Brackets, bottom bars, centre pulleys, rope and new tubular awning motors.
-Drop Arm Awnings Repairs - replacement pivot arms, bottom bars and tubular motors
-Folding Arm Awning Repairs - replacement arms(if we can source the make and model.......part may be obsolete), pitch adjustments and new tubular awning motor repair
-Straight Drop Awning Repairs - replacement crank mechanism, new hold down anchors, belts and new awning motor repairs.
